Social Welfare Strategy 2019-2025 – Consultation Process

The Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs issued a call for consultations on the preparing of the Draft for Social Welfare Strategy for the period 2019-2025, in accordance with the Plan System Act (Article 34).

The Social Welfare Strategy is a national sector strategy (Article 12 of the Plan System Act) and represents a social agreement on the development of social protection policies in the next medium term. The Social Welfare Strategy responds to the needs of society and defines the directions for further development of social protection policies, as well as more effective and efficient linkage of social protection policies with national development priorities and other sectors.

The process of drafting the Social Welfare Strategy 2019-2025 was launched on April 20, 2018 at a national conference held in Belgrade and supported by the project Support to the Development of Regulatory Mechanisms of Social Protection funded by the European Union (EU) through the IPA 2013 Financial Instrument.

Information on the results of the consultations conducted in the process of preparing the draft of the Social Protection Strategy for the period 2019-2025 will be published by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs no later than 15 days after the end of the consultation, 34 of the Plan System Act.
